Local fans can once again show off their high school football knowledge and compete against other fans for the right to win some cool prizes in the 2010 edition of the prepcentralonline.com high school football pick-em contest. The contest allows fans to choose the winners from area high school games each week. Picking opens on Sunday of each week before closing a few hours before kickoff time.

Each week, the top five pickers will be named and those five will be thrown into the pool for the grand prize drawing to be held at the end of the season. Prizes include a flat-screen television, car stereo and a recliner, all provided by World Hi-Fi Buys in Rome.

Fans can also set up their own groups in the contest to see who can win bragging rights for the entire season. Along with that, weekly overall winners will have a chance to submit some of their top picks for inclusion on the Gridiron Central preview show that will air online each Thursday.
